The Journey and the Destination
Community Powered

Many local volunteers including the local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts also participated in the project.

To date, this included an empathy exercise by working in wheelchairs as well as a simulated flag raising with the old flag pole and a special flag provided by Leonard Lance's Office for the Dedication: a Capital-flown flag - flown on 9.11.16.

William Fallon, Jr. is memorialized

in Rocky Hill.

After the creation of a Concept Plan - on the Montgomery Veterans Memorial Committee and Township's behalf - LANDSCAPE MARSHAL officially applied for the Program.

In January of 2017, the M911 Memorial Landscape Improvement Project was indeed approved by EP HENRY.

Over the years, the Site was adopted by the Neshanic Garden Club.

Club members have helped maintain the beds and plantings each season best that they could including periodically adding flowers etc.

The 911 Memorial is a dedicated site suitable for contemplation and awareness of those lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the Rural Field in western Pennsylvania. It too is meant to serve as a reminder of the sacrifices of others through public gatherings for patriotic observances at various times throughout the year...

Montgomery Township suffered the loss of Four Residents on 9 11 - Three from the Township and One from nearby Rocky Hill - a community that falls under Montgomery Township in several ways to include shared services including the School System..

TEAM Award

Troop 850 held it's monthly meeting in May at the site.

Among other most-relative topics surrounding 9 11 - the significance of 9 11 and the memorial, the symbolic meaning behind a flag raising was explained.

911 MEMORIAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

2016 - After visiting the Memorial on Patriot Day and seeing the need for an upgrade - Our Staff began work immediately with Montgomery Township to bring about that upgrade through the EP HENRY HEROSCAPING PROGRAM - A Program that supports such improvements. We adopted the 911 Memorial Area in November 2016 and began work on an improvement plan to be implemented in 2017.
